Our services

This is the work the trust actually does. No grand announcements, just service that carries on every week, in every season.

  1. Photo coming soon

    Breakfast for elders

Hot ganthiya breakfast for people over 55, every Saturday and Sunday from 8 to 10 in the morning, for just ₹5. The price exists so that it feels like a fair exchange rather than charity.

  2. Photo coming soon

    Tiffin service

Elders who live alone or cannot leave the house receive a tiffin every day, so that nobody goes hungry and nobody has to ask.

  3. Hospital support

    Hospital support

At the hospital near Mavdi Chokdi, operations for patients in need are done at a token rate and laboratory tests at a concessional rate. Meals and a place to stay are arranged for the family members who come with them.

  4. Photo coming soon

    Book distribution

Poor and orphaned children receive books, notebooks and the supplies they need for school, so that no child leaves study for lack of money.

  5. Garba and pot distribution

    Garba and pot distribution

Before Navratri, decorated garba pots are given free to the women of the city; close to seven thousand went out in a single year. In summer, families in need receive clay pots for cool drinking water.

  6. Gau seva

    Gau seva

Green fodder, water and regular care for the cows at the goshala. Grain and water are also kept out for birds and other animals.

  7. Meals for children

    Meals for children

Volunteers take hot meals into the city's settlements and sit with the children while they eat. Kites at Uttarayan and sweets at festivals go out too, so their childhood sees a festival as well.

  8. Photo coming soon

    Encouraging bright students

Students in need who do well in their studies are honoured publicly and helped to carry on with their education.

  9. Photo coming soon

    Village libraries

A library in the village, so that children and young people who want to read have books and a quiet place to sit with them.

  10. Photo coming soon

    Support for widowed women

Widowed women in hardship receive rations, essential supplies and financial help when the need arises, so they can run their homes with dignity.

  11. Photo coming soon

    Help with a daughter's wedding

The hall and the meals are provided free for the wedding of a daughter from a poor family, so that no parent has to take on debt to marry a daughter.

  12. Awareness campaigns

    Awareness campaigns

De-addiction rallies, programmes against superstition, awareness work on preventing suicide, and cleanliness drives in villages and the city. The initiative honouring housing societies that burn fewer firecrackers at Diwali is part of the same effort.

How you can join in
